That's me, circa 1967. At my left
hand is an Ampex "portable" reel-to-reel 1 inch video tape
recorder or VTR. At the right hand is an Ampex studio 2 inch
tape VTR. In my high school's TV studio control room, I was
dubbing from one VTR to the other.

My name is Carmine Castiglia, a jack of all
trades, master of at least a few.
Born and raised in a classic "machine shop", my entire career
revolves around the manufacturing process and includes hands-on
experience with every conceivable piece of equipment from 1 hp bench
lathes to 5-Axis CNC machining centers, from kick presses to 500 Ton
powder metal compacting presses.

Backstage, standing at the Wurdack
Stage Switchboard, also circa 1967. Even with billions of pages

variations comes up dry.

Since 1986, I have focused exclusively on the implementation of
modern Information Systems and Technology in the manufacturing
environment. As an IT Manager, I have installed and maintained complex
systems running on hardware as diverse as the IBM System/36 and the DEC
AlphaServer as well as uncounted dozens of PC's, printers, plotters,
etc, and associated software. From word processing, spreadsheets,
and computer aided drafting to bar codes, scanners, and wireless data
collection, I have, as they say, "been there, done that".
